Urgent alerts

A tick box under Account and settings › Notifications: send urgent alerts immediately, for funding rounds and leadership changes.

These are the two event types where being a day late genuinely costs you the opportunity, so they are sent as they are found. Everything else waits for the digest.

The product checks for urgent signals every half hour over a rolling twenty-four-hour window, and keeps a record of what it has already sent. That record is what stops you being alerted twice about the same round, and what allows a missed alert to be recovered rather than lost.
